Special Topic in MFT: Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents in a Systems Context

I am pleased to announce that I will be teaching a 3 credit graduate course this summer at the Falls Church campus of Virginia Tech titled: "Special Topic in MFT: Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents in a Systems Context". This will be offered through the VA Tech Department of Marriage and Family Therapy.

This course will be clinical in nature and will focus on specific techniques used in psychotherapy with children and adolescents. Solution-Oriented, Narrative, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Structural/Strategic approaches will be studied. Role-plays, demonstrations, and video reviews will be some of the approaches used to gain the skills needed to provide child and adolescent psychotherapy.

The class will meet 6 consecutive Wednesdays from 9 AM to 5 PM beginning May 21 to June 25.
Please contact Virginia Tech for more information.
